No matter what size or what’s on, Shakefest is guaranteed to provide an amazingly cultural and creative experience for families and all ages every year. Started in 2006, the festival has had great success for 13 very lucky years in helping to promote a world without borders at Charleville Castle Tullamore, Culture Centre of the Midlands.

As always, Shakefest will provide some energetic and creative kids workshops this year such as Circus and Dance Ribbons, Improvisation and Drama and Musical Storytelling as well as Egyptian Dance for adult dance students. The evening then gives way to the always colourful and eclectic Evening Hafla of cultural entertainment on Saturday, May 26th starring various children and adult ethnic dance groups and special guests as well as kids and adult Rolled Felt Making workshops and musical workshops for Babies on Sunday, May 27th.

Shakefest also highlights not 1, but 2 International Guest Instructors from opposite sides of the globe this year.

Adriana Von Runic is a successful German Concert Flutist who travels the world performing and teaching Pentatonic music to all ages, with presently developing and ongoing projects in China and Australia.

At Shakefest she will specialize in inspiring parents, infants and young people towards a musical journey of senses & storytelling, and how to teach them to add the element of creativity into their daily lives while providing uniquely designed musical instruments to work with.
